I went into Mitchell & Brown determined to buy a Bose. Ready with my EMF meter, the incredibly helpful staff allowed me to test it and we even tried taking it outside to get away from the smog in store. Somewhat satisfied, I took it home. I tested it again and it failed. Bigtime. I was a little disappointed with the sound but most of all, when I turned the unit off, it still pulsed out a signal. All weekend. I even tested two days later when the power went out. Shocking. After doing a little research it turned out I wasn't the first to discover this. Anxious about how I would be received, I took it back and they happily swapped the unit and allowed me to try out (overnight) what they thought was the pick of the bunch - a UE Megaboom (thanks Ash!). Perfect - 20 hr battery life (14hrs more than the Bose SoundLink® Color), brilliant sound, Bluetooth signal completely stops when the aux cable is plugged in and when its off, it is really off! You can pair a couple of them together and it is waterproof. And it comes in much nicer colours. There is a smaller model too. Winner!
